New user not sure on Battery Voltage test

In my initial usage with MP900 the battery voltage shows low and should be replaced in late model BMWs - which I don't believe. Maybe I need to VERY CAREFULLY test the battery first, quickly, after turning off all the lights and fans that come on with the OBDII port power on. I don't recall any cautionary instructions on this point. Otherwise it is easy to use and I expect it will keep me informed about my starter / alternator / battery over time and prevent dead battery strandings in the future.

Very easy to use and just a great overall tool to add to the tool box to be able to monitor your batteries state of health specially in these newer cars that rely on the battery so heavily.
