Excellent value for the price. I’ve been doing diagnostics and module repair for years, and the Elite II Pro with the MV105S has exceeded my expectations in everyday shop use. I mainly use it for coding and programming, and it handled a 2019 BMW 5 Series FRM replacement flawlessly. I also used the VCI with WiTECH2 on a 2021 Dodge Charger for module programming, and the J2534 connection stayed solid throughout the entire session without any random disconnects. The DOIP and CAN FD support also makes working on newer GM and Mercedes vehicles much more convenient since there’s no need for extra adapters or switching tools.The MV105S scope has been surprisingly useful as well. I was able to inspect the back side of a 2018 Chevy Silverado engine area without tearing everything apart—just inserted the probe and saw exactly what I needed. I also used it for a carbon buildup inspection for a customer, which made the process faster and easier to explain. Overall, the system has been reliable, practical, and has quickly become one of the tools I reach for most often in the shop.
This thing is a beast.. It does everything a MS909 can.
This is a professional-grade diagnostic tool that’s well built and fairly easy to use once you get familiar with it. It supports a wide range of vehicle makes and comes with all the necessary connectors, plus a storage case. The battery life is solid—I can usually go a couple of days without needing to recharge. Overall, it’s a very capable and reliable diagnostic tool.Pros:• Wide vehicle coverage: In real-world use, I’ve only encountered one vehicle it couldn’t communicate with. With frequent updates, that’s likely already been addressed.• Fast performance: Compared to other tools I’ve used, including my old Snap-on Solus Edge, this one is noticeably quicker with minimal wait times.• Strong functionality: I’ve used it for ECU programming, ABS diagnostics, transmission codes, and body control module work (like window motors). It’s intuitive enough to learn and handles far more than expected.Cons:• Learning curve for quick scans: If you just want to pull codes quickly, it takes some getting used to and isn’t exactly instant.• Better suited for deeper diagnostics: The Elite II Pro is more geared toward advanced use. Once you learn it, though, it provides much more than basic scanners—offering live data, advanced functions, and deeper system access, not just code reading.
Picked up the Maxisys Elite ii pro with mv105s bundle from here, had a day off and finally got some time to try it out. Feels like a straight-up work tool, not fancy, but it covers a lot. The cars ideal with are mixed, German, French, some US models. And so far it’s been handling them fine. Tried it on a v Passat first, full scan went through pretty quick, finds modules and pulls code faster than my old unit which actually helps when you’re trying to move through jobs. Datastream looks good too, checked fuel trims and 02 on a Peugeot 308, stayed smooth, no lag. Did a water pump test on a BMW 3 series, response came right away, no issues there. Euro cars in general seem easy to get into. Tried on an Audi A4 and a Renault, most systems opened up without digging around too much. Wireless connection has been stable in the shop, no random dropouts live data stays consistent while watching PIDs. Did a battery registration on a vw golf after replacement, went through fine, also tried some basic coding and it worked. Used the j2534 once on a Ford, setup and updates took a bit but after that it runs fine. One thing I didn’t expect, it comes with two years of updates, thought it was one year only at first, support cleared it that up pretty quick. Nothing crazy , just works and gets things done.
From a professional standpoint, this scan tool offers significant capabilities for diagnosing even the most challenging drivability issues. It stands out with its robust data logging features and its ability to highlight flagged points within the data. This is something I haven't encountered in any other professional scan tool before. Maybe this is something Autel has done for a while, but this is the first I have heard of it.For its price level, I honestly suggest this as a great scan tool for any do it your selfer or as a professional diagnostician that may want a more affordable drivability, data logging scan tool.Check out my video demonstrating the ability to drop flag points in the data so it will help you pin point of a specific issue while reviewing your captured data.
