I replaced a sensor and re-wrote the ECU on the tablet, matched it to the vehicle, which saved us a lot of money. Now, my old Ford is as good as new. I will continue to be a loyal user of Autel. I’ve owned this scanner for just over a month now and it’s already paid for itself. I work as a diesel tech but I do a lot of side work that involves cars/ trucks and medium duty vehicles. I needed a scanner that could cover this range and this one does. I’ve used it to re vin used computers, reprogrammed immobilizers, program keys, and tons of bi directional testing. I’ve never had an issue with not doing something I needed done. This scanner cannot program/ flash a new ecm that doesn’t have any programming in it already. But it does allow you to install a used ecm from a different vehicle by programming vin and keys. Which is perfect for diy. This is still a steep price for anyone looking to use this for just personal vehicles but if you have enough of them or you do side jobs, it’s definitely worth it.
